Positioning:
Once target markets have been established, we must determine:
- our current position,
- the position we wish to assume in each market, and
- an overall position to take with the outside world.
Successful positions are simply stated and easily understood by customers, employees, suppliers and investors. They identify holes or under-served segments within each market. Sometimes innovative positioning can even create a new niche market with no competitors!
